Zackery Aaron Jones

Mr. Zackery Aaron Jones, 38, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Jones, affectionately known as “Zack”, was born in Halifax County, VA on August 10, 1986 to Aaron Jones and Pamela Smith Jones. He was a 2004 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Zack was presently employed as Produce Manager by Food Lion in Chase City where he was well known and loved. He enjoyed playing cards, video games, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Jones; mother, Pamela Smith Jones Hatcher; maternal grandparents, Charlie, Jr. and Catherine Augusta Smith; and paternal grandfather, James Jones.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted life partner, Myranda Smith, son, Aaron Jones and bonus daughter, Serenity Johnson all of Chase City, VA; his “Pops”, Marvin T. Hatcher of Skipwith, VA; two sisters, Natasha Brown of Boydton, VA and Monica Jenkins of Chase City, VA; grandmother, Juanita Jones of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Dennis King, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
