Wilson Junior Gregory

Mr. Wilson Junior Gregory, 86, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA.

Mr. Gregory, affectionately known as “Bug”, was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 25, 1938 to the late Wilson Gregory and Annie Hutcheson Gregory. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, and was a retired tobacco farmer and sawmill operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Bell Parrish; and two brothers, Robert Hutcheson and James Gregory.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Vickie Hartrum Gregory; nine step-children, Katie McCargo, Loraine Atkins, Patricia Dodson, Madeline Arrington (Theodore), Joann D. Wilson, Joey Hartrum, Brian Hartrum, Stacey Puryear and Tyler Hartrum; one sister-in-law, Joann Hutcheson, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson J. Gregory will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 24, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Andy Hargrove, officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
