Mr. Willie Linward Dailey, 93, of Midlothian, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Dailey was born in Charlotte County, VA on December 16, 1930 to the late Willie Dailey and Marie Haskins. He was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Red Oak and was a retiree of Long Island Rail Road in New York. Mr. Dailey was a veteran of the United States Army. He was considered a “Mr. Fix-it”, as he enjoyed working on cars, woodworking and doing yard work.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Dailey; and a son, Eric Dailey.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his daughter, Karen Dailey of Midlothian, VA; two grandchildren; brother, Horace Dailey of Laurelton, NY; sister, Eunice Burton of Keysville, VA; one sister-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Linward Dailey will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Pastor Tony Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M.
