Willie Lewis Williams

Mr. Willie Lewis Williams, 71, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Monday, January 24, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Williams was born in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Anthony and Ella Lee Williams March 9, 1939.  He received his education in the Mecklenburg County schools and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.  Mr. Williams began his career driving truck with Ruffin and Payne and later was employed by the Town of Boydton where he retired as maintenance supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Delores Richardson Williams and a daughter Tonya Fisher. Cherishing his memories are his children, Willie Hill (Mary) of Petersburg, VA, Gloria Bondurant (David) of Richmond, VA, Michael Baskerville (Mary), Orange, NJ;  eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one sister, Rosa Mae Evans(Carol), Boydton;  one brother, Joe Austin(Joyce) of Boydton; three uncles, two aunts, one son-in-law, Clarence Fisher of Boydton, a special and devoted friend, Patricia  Richardson. Funeral service for Mr. Willie Lewis Williams will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Greenwood Baptist Church, Boydton, with Elder Kenyatta Evans, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
