Willie Giles Hargrove

Ms. Willie Giles Hargrove, 90, of Keysville, VA and formerly of Union Level, VA entered eternal rest Monday, December 21, 2015 at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation, Keysville, VA. Ms. Hargrove was born in Union Level, VA August 8, 1925 to the late James and Rosa Bell Arnold Stone. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and at an early age joined North View Baptist Church, South Hill, VA.  There she served on the Usher Board and many other capacities in the church until her health began to fail. In her spare time, Willie enjoyed cooking, gardening and talking.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Hargrove was preceded in death by her former husband, Tommie Hargrove, Sr.; three brother; three sisters and a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah M. Douglas.  She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving, caring and devoted daughter, Shirley B. Douglas (Acie) of Chase City, VA; one son, Tommie Hargrove (Charlotte) of Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren, Glen, Sharon, Vanessa, Tommie Jr. and Kimberly; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Tealie Hayes (Samuel) of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Ms. Willie Giles Hargrove will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at North View Baptist Church, South Hill, VA with Rev. Robert L. Faulcon, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will begin 10:00 A.M. Saturday until service time.   Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Services 11:00 A.M.
