Willie E. Williamson

Mrs. Willie E. Williamson, 78, of South Boston, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. Mrs. Williamson was born on July 1, 1941 in Durham, NC to the late Jack and Jugurtha Roberts. At an early age, she joined Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Buffalo Junction, VA. Mrs. Williamson relocated to Beacon, NY; while there she attended Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was a retiree of Nabisco Box Manufacturer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Raleigh Williamson, Sr.; a grandson, Tyrone Williams, and three brothers, Ulysses Roberts, Finest Roberts and Clyde Roberts. Cherishing her memories are two sons, Samuel R. Williamson, Jr. of South Boston, VA and Paul J. Williamson (Debbie) of Lillington, NC; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Burnell Henderson of Richmond, VA, Loretta Roberts of White Plains, NY and Annie Laura Daniel of Buffalo Junction, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Willie E. Williamson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Dr. Linda E. Thornton delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
