William Skipwith

Mr. William Skipwith “Skip”, 88, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Skipwith was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 6, 1929 to the late Sam and Matilda Spencer Skipwith. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was formerly employed by Burlington Industries, retiring after 30 plus years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Skipwith was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Lee Osborne Skipwith; five brothers, Mosley, Robert, Clem, Charlie and Sam, and four sisters, Bernice Nelson, Beatrice Gillis, Rosabell and Ruth Spencer. He leaves to cherish his memory numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. William Skipwith will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 23, 2018 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Calvin Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P. M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
