William Robert Mason, Jr.

Mr. William Robert Mason, Jr., 76, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Mason, affectionately known as “Boo”, was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on August 22, 1947 to the late William Robert Mason, Sr. and Mary Ann Christmas Mason. He was a graduate of West End High School, Class of 1967, and later attended Barber school in Richmond. Mr. Mason was formerly employed by Russell Stover Candies, and was a retiree of DRS. Mr. Mason enjoyed riding his golf cart, cutting grass, and being outside.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Southall, Edward, Wilson and James Thomas Mason, and a sister, Mary Ann Cole.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Shirley Ann Mason of Boydton, VA; two sons, Eric Mason of Buffalo Junction, VA and Corey Jant (Thelma) of South Hill, VA; daughter, Shannon Mason of Clarksville, VA; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, two sisters- in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service for Mr. William Robert Mason, Jr. will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Glendora Hargrove officiating.
