William H. Roberts

Mr. William Henry Roberts, 75 of Drakes Branch, VA entered eternal rest Friday, January 19, 2007 at his residence.Mr. Roberts was born in Charlotte County, VA June 1, 1931 to the late Dick Roberts and Elizabeth Pulliam Roberts. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA and a retiree of Stanley Land and Lumber Co., Drakes Branch, VA. He, Roberts was preceded in death by his father, four children, two sisters, and two brothers. Cherishing his memories are six children, Thelma Robertson of South Hill, VA, Patricia Saunders of Saxe, VA, Richard Roberts of Atlanta, GA, Kenny Roberts of South Hill, VA, Larmonte Roberts of Chase City, VA and Brian Steven Roberts of San Diego, CA; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth P. Roberts of Drakes Branch, VA; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, three sisters-in-law, devoted friend Julia Roberts of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. William Henry Roberts will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Hugo Womack, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
