Mr. William Dennis Roberts, 64, of Oxford, NC and formerly of Washington, DC and Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, NC. Mr. Roberts was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on April 26, 1953 to Lisborn D. and Queen Ester Boxley Roberts. He was a graduate of Spingarn High School, Washington, DC and a member of Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA. Mr. Roberts was a former employee of the United States Postal Service, Raleigh, NC and a 26 year veteran of the US Air Force. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Leonia May Holloway Roberts of Oxford, NC; one daughter, Cheryl Tanner of Bracey, VA; one step-son, Kevin Green of Danville, VA; five grandchildren; his parents, Lisborn and Queen Roberts of Buffalo Junction, VA; four brothers, Larry Roberts of Bullock, NC, Velky Roberts of Henderson, NC, Maurice Roberts of Roxboro, NC and Donald Roberts of Buffalo Junction, VA; three sisters, Brenda Roberts of Clarksville, VA, Charlene Collins of Buffalo Junction, VA and Deborah Shaw of Arlington, VA; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. William Dennis Roberts will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA with Rev. Dr. James A. Hudson, Jr. officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P. M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
