William Clarence Boyd

Mr. William Clarence Boyd, 72, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.Mr. Boyd was born in Charlotte County, VA January 27, 1934 to the late William and Emma Goode Boyd. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA and a retired farmer.Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his wife Irene Boyd and a daughter, Laurena Boyd.Cherishing his memories are five daughters, Rose Morales (Armondo) and Tammy Duncan (Gary) of Chase City, VA, Mary Lena Boyd of South Boston, VA, Deborah and Donna Boyd of Red Oak, VA; two sons, William Boyd and Tyrone Boyd both of Red Oak, VA; 21 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Clyde Boyd of Red Oak, VA; two sisters, Estelle Boyd of Red Oak, VA and Hazel Mosley of Randolph, VA adopted sister, Florence Staten; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Mr. William Clarence Boyd will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 15, 2006 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
