William Bell

Mr. William Alton Bell, 59, of Richmond, VA, entered eternal rest Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Chippenham Medical Center,  Richmond, VA. Mr. Bell was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 10, 1950, to the late Ashby G. and Gladys Jones Bell.  He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools and was formerly employed as a truck driver. Cherishing his memories are four children; Antonio Pamplin (Darlene) of Richmond, Heather Bell (Wayne) of South Hill, Stephanie Bell (Benny) of Frederick, MD, and Mark Goode (Tricia) of Wylliesburg, VA; five grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Burwell of South Hill and Ola Mae Montgomery of East Orange NJ; one brother, Ashby Bell Jr. of South Hill, VA; a devoted companion Claretha Harris of Chesterfield, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. William Alton Bell will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chase City, VA with Rev. Edward Harrington officiating, burial will follow in Williams Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA.  Mr. Bell may be viewed Sunday only from 12 Noon until service time Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
