Wilbur Mayfield, Jr.

Mr. Wilbur Mayfield, Jr., 61, of Baskerville, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mr. Mayfield was born in Palmer Springs, VA on November 11, 1958 to Ola Mae Mayfield Martin. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Boydton, VA, and was formerly employed by International Veneer Company (IVC) in South Hill, VA. Mr. Mayfield was a US Army veteran, serving from 1976 to 1998. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He also loved his dogs, Tilly, Lady and Robo. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted daughters, Chermir Mayfield (Bryant) and Tynesha Mayfield (Jonathan) both of Boydton, VA; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; his mother, Ola Mae Martin; brother, Eddie Martin, Jr.; two aunts, Barbara Jean Mayfield and Gracie Durham; two uncles, Lucas and Jimmy Dean Mayfield, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside service for Mr. Wilbur Mayfield, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA with Rev. Tyrone Pulliam officiating. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Due to Covid-19, a mask will be required for all viewings and services, and we ask that you practice social distancing.
