Walter Ervin Hepburn

Mr. Walter Ervin Hepburn 64, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Hepburn was born in Lunenburg County, VA March 24, 1944 to the late Roy and Martha White Hepburn. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. Mr. Hepburn was employed at the former Addison Tank Company of Clarksville, VA for over 25 years and then later by Virginia Homes of Boydton, VA until his health failed. Mr. Hepburn was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Russell. Cherishing his memories are his wife of 47 years, Barbara Hepburn of Chase City, VA; one son, Walter Ervin Hepburn Jr. “Bo” of Chase City, VA; one daughter, Deloise Hepburn of Maryland; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Roy Hepburn (Eloise) of Yonkers, NY; two sisters, Lucy Hepburn of Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Geneva Pettus (Samuel) of Chase City, VA; four aunts, a devoted friend Deacon Ronald Hayes  “LH” of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Walter Ervin Hepburn will be conducted 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
