Walter Edward Mickey

Mr. Walter Edward Mickey 40, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, March 22, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident in Drakes Branch, VA. Mr. Mickey was born in Prince Edward County, VA February 18, 1968 to the late William and Mary Craig Mickey. He was a member of New Rehoboth Baptist Church, Keysville, VA. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Betty Mickey of Saxe, VA; five children, Walter, Jr. Capricia, Darius, Shana and Kiera Mickey all of Saxe, VA; one brother, Tony Mickey of Fort Mitchell, VA, a half-brother, Michael Craig of Kenbridge, VA; a half sister, Teresa Craig of Victoria, VA; his mother-in-law, Betty L. Jones of Saxe, VA; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Walter Edward Mickey will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at New Rehoboth Baptist Church, Keysville, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St, Chase City, VA.
