Mr. Walter Carnell Terry, age 69, of Hampton, VA transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, March 16, 2018. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Gay Robinson Terry of Hampton, VA; two loving children, Michael of Milwaukee, WI and Joy of Hampton, VA; three grandsons, Mychael, Mason, and Malachi of Milwaukee, WI; four granddaughters, Imani of Scranton, PA, Chanli and Chaiah both of Milwaukee, WI, and Kymoni Young of Hampton, VA; his parents, Rev. John and Mary Small Terry of Plainfield, NJ; sister, Theresa Terry Williams of Harrisburg, PA; brother, Simeon Terry (Alma) of Corinth, TX, and a host of special cousins and friends that he held close to his heart. Funeral Services for Mr. Walter Carnell Terry will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March, 27, 2018 at Six Mount Zion Baptist Temple, 3100 Butternut Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 with the family receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. A Committal Service will be held 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery, 37 Wildlife Club Road, Clarksville, VA 23927. Public viewing will begin Wednesday at 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M with with the family receiving friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service and O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home, Newport News, VA.
