Virginia Mae Toombs Mcbride

Mrs. Virginia Mae Toombs McBride (“Pig”), 77, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. McBride was born in Chase City, VA on March 11, 1944, to the late James and Nettie Allen Toombs. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was employed at Jonbil where she worked until she retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge (Jack) McBride; three brothers, James, John, and Floyd Toombs; sister, Sarah Toombs; niece, Doris Toombs, and nephew, Alvin Toombs. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Stevie McBride, Timothy McBride (Rhonda) and Darlene Toombs, all of Chase City, VA; four grandchildren, Carrell Toombs, Temecka Toombs and Keana Walker of Chase City, VA and Aaron Bullock of Henderson, NC; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Toombs; four nephews, Michael Toombs, John Toombs and Doug Toombs of Richmond, VA and Robert Toombs of Chase City, VA; devoted friend, Jack Lawrence of Chase City, VA, special friend Kristie Taylor, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Mae Toombs McBride will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA with Rev.
