Virginia Lee Elam

Ms. Virginia Lee Elam, 66, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at her residence.

Ms. Elam, also known as “Puddin”, was born in Charlotte County, VA on October 12, 1956 to the late Thomas and Inez Mosley Elam. She received Christ at an early age, and joined Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. Ms. Elam received her education in the Charlotte County public schools. She was a faithful employee of Lake Country Area on Aging, working as a certified nursing assistant. For over 20 years she enjoyed her job and caring for her clients. Virginia also enjoyed fishing, joy riding, eating out, and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Sabrina Boyd-Waker (Robert) of Farmville, VA; three sons, Cliffton Boyd of Wylliesburg , VA, Courtney Parrish and Tarrence Thorpe of Clarksville, VA; two grandchildren; Diamond Boyd of Richmond, VA and Dezmond Boyd of Farmville, VA; one brother, Herman Elam of Red Oak, VA; three sisters, Louise Thompson of Drakes Branch, VA, Delphine Watkins of Chase City, VA and Phyllis Elam of Boydton VA , and a vast number of loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Virginia Lee Elam will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Pastor Robert Waker officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA. Public viewing will begin on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 P.M.
