Virginia C. Pettus

Miss Virginia C. Pettus, 86, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Commonwealth Senior Living, South Boston, VA.

Miss Pettus was born in Chase City, VA on December 24, 1937 to the late Junious Pettus and Elizabeth Mosley. She was a graduate of the historic Thyne Institute in Chase City, VA, and a member of Silone Baptist Church. She was previously employed by Goody Products, Inc. and as a caretaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Pettus; two sisters, Margaret Pettus and Marie Lyons; and three brothers, Charles, Tommie and Robert Pettus.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sisters, Joyce Pettus of Irvington, NJ and Ruth Dickerson of West Orange, NJ, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Miss Virginia C. Pettus will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Reginald Dodson, officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M.
