Vincent Russell

Mr. Vincent Russell, 48, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, VA. Mr. Russell was born in Chase City, VA on May 1, 1970. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Public School system, and at an early age joined Silone Baptist Church. For several years he provided barbering services to the local community, and later worked as a Direct Care Professional with United Friends. Mr. Russell was a United States Army Reserve veteran. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Mae Hepburn Russell. He leaves to cherish his memories two children, Vincent White of Greenville, NC, and Tylleah Russell of Chase City, VA; a stepdaughter, Temple Boyd of Chase City, VA; nine grandchildren; his father, Ralph Russell Jr. (Yvonne) of Chase City, VA; six sisters, Cheryl Smith of Midlothian, VA DeLeashia Jordan of Aberdeen, MD and Ernestine Hayes, Yolanda Saunders, Keisha Bells and Vanessa Saunders all of Yonkers, NY, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Vincent Russell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Silone Memorial Garden. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
