Vincent Nathaniel Oliver

Mr. Vincent Nathaniel Oliver, 47, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his residence.   Mr. Oliver was born in Yonkers, NY August 28, 1962 to the late Robert N. Oliver and Mary Anne Land-Oliver. Mr. Oliver was a 1980 graduate of Gorton High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. He had a passion for auto mechanics and carpentry, he loved to work with his hands.     In addition to his father Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one nephew. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Pechies Hilliard of Yonkers, NY; two sons, Vincent Oliver and Parrish Oliver of Yonkers, NY; his mother, Mary Anne Land-Oliver of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Helen Oliver-Silva (Todd) of Portsmouth, VA, Vera Shade (Russell) of Chase City, VA, Thelma Oliver-Hayes (Cornell) of Chase City, VA; one brother, Daniel Oliver (Carolyn) of Richmond, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Vincent Nathaniel Oliver will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. E. Douglas Reams, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
