Trentice L. Goode

Mrs. Trentice Louise Morgan Goode, 81, of Chase City, VA entered into eternal rest as she lived quietly and humbly on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Goode was born in Mecklenburg County, VA March 28, 1934 to the late John Sr. and Margaret Morgan. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gable Goode; brothers, Robert Lee, John Jr., and George Morgan; sisters, Allie Mae Puryear and Carrie Morgan; five brothers-in-laws, John Henry, Elmore, Abraham, Frank and Harry Lee Goode and Harry Thompson Sr. and a sister-in-law, Mary Goode. Cherishing her memories are a devoted nephew, Emmanuel Thompson, Sr. (Jean) of Chase City, VA; a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; four sisters-in-law, Carrie Lee Thompson and Francis Goode of Chase City, VA, Annie Bea Hargrove (Frank) of Lancaster, PA and Juanita Goode of Oxford, NC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Goode will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Saint Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Frankie Watson, officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends, Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Service 11:00 A.M.
