Tracey Ann Harris

Mrs. Tracey Ann Harris, 51 of Keysville, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Sentara Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. Mrs. Harris was born in South Boston, VA January 31, 1971 to the late Bennie Thompson and Beulah Wood. She attended Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, VA and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. In her spare time she enjoyed reading the bible, enjoying family and friends, social media and playing with her beloved dog Cocoa Harris. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Harris; brother, Gerald Wood, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Deacon James and Blanche Wood; her mother-in-law, Mary F. Harris and a brother-in-law, Hayward Harris. Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Lamont Harris of Lynchburg, VA; daughter, Simone Harris of Keysville, VA; three sisters, Wanda Moseley (Charles) of Georgia, Tanisha Blakeney (Michael) of Georgia and Shawana Royster of Richmond, VA; brothers, Martin and Fred Wood of Wylliesburg, VA and David Thompson of Drakes Branch, VA; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Phillip Staten, officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
