Tony S. Mangum

Mr. Tony S. Mangum, 60, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at VCU/MCV Hospitals, Richmond, VA. Mr. Mangum was born in Boydton, VA November 11, 1958 to the late Robert W., Sr. and Elizabeth Evans Mangum. He was a 1977 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA, and was a member of Jerusalem Temple United Holy Church in Boydton, VA. Mr. Mangum was formerly employed as a Fountain Technician for Coca Cola Enterprises in Arlington, TX. In his spare time he enjoyed painting, horse riding, fishing and carpentry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-spouse, Janet Young Mangum, and one brother, Ronnie Mangum. Cherishing his memories are two daughters, Jasmine Wright of Richmond, VA and Toni Mangum of Clarksville, VA; two step-sons, Bruce Strickland, Jr. (Nickey) of Cedar Hill, TX and Damion Strickland of Texas; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert W. Mangum, Jr. (Cheryl) of Chesterfield, VA and Curtis G. Mangum (Linda) of Boydton, VA; one sister, Melissa M. Marks of Franklinton, NC, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Tony S. Mangum will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 14, 2019 at Jerusalem Temple United Holy Church, Boydton, VA with Elder Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
