Mrs. Thelma Clark Murray, 100, of Oxford, NC exchanged time for eternity on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Murray was born in Granville, County, NC September 7, 1920 to the late Everett and Annie Johnson Clark. She attended the schools of Granville County, NC and at an early age joined Zora Chapel United Methodist Church, Bullock, NC. There she served as President of United Methodist Women, Trustee, Communion Stewardess and on the hospitality committee. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and helping others anyway that she could. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, George Murray, sisters, Lucille C. Bullock and Zelma H. Burwell; brothers, Earnest, Lefoy, Charles, Paul and George. Left to cherish her precious memories are her sister, Cora Lee Royster of Oxford, NC; her devoted nieces and nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Walter McLeod and Rev. Leroy Worth conducting the services. Burial will follow in Zora Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bullock, NC. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Monday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating will be limited, and a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
