Shirley Ann Powell

Ms. Shirley Ann Powell, 69, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, VA. Ms. Powell was born in Virginia on July 6, 1951 to the late JC and Madeline Roberts. She was a graduate of West End High School in Skipwith, VA, and attended Greater Union Baptist Church in Chase City. Ms. Powell was formerly employed as a manager in retail sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Bullock and Avon Roberts and one brother-in-law, Edward Bullock. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Clinton Gregory of Chase City, VA; daughter, Vickie Ashe; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Calvin Boyd, Connell Roberts and Ronnie Roberts all of Chase City, VA; special friend, Jessie Boyd, two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Powell will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 27, 2021 in the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
