Sherwin T. Bethell Jr

Sherwin Tyronne Bethell, Jr., lovingly nicknamed “Shea-Tee” entered eternal rest Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. Sherwin was born January 19, 1982 in Nassau, Bahamas to Sherwin, Sr. and June C. Hamlette-Bethell. He was educated in the parochial and public schools in New York City. In May 2005, he received his Bachelor’s of Art Degree in English from St. Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA and was employed by Enterprise Rent A Car, Colonial Heights, VA. Cherishing his memories are his parents June and Sherwin Bethell, Sr., godmother and aunt, Betsy Hamlette-Aridi, godfather and uncle, Hank Hamlette, uncle, Tende Aridi all of New York City; his paternal uncle Kennedy Bethell, paternal aunt Christine Bethell of Nassau, Bahamas; great-aunt Mrs. Blanche Gaitor, Petersburg, VA; great uncle Herman Blackwell, Chase City, VA, stepparents, Richard Kovacs (Richie) of Chase City, VA and Pat Brockington of New York City, devoted friend Dione Jolly of Freeman, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Memorial services for Mr. Sherwin Tyronne Bethell Jr. will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Ricky Lee, officiating.
