Shelia Richardson Hargrove

Mrs. Shelia Denise Richardson Hargrove, 64, of Boydton, VA peacefully exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Hargrove was born November 7, 1957 to Willie Mae Evans Richardson and the late Donald D. Richardson. She received her education in Mecklenburg County Public Schools and was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School-Class of 1977. She later met and married Joseph Hargrove. At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Jerusalem Temple United Holy Church in Boydton, VA where she was an active choir member and remained a faithful member until her health begin to decline. During her lifetime, she was employed by Russell Stovers, Lake Sleepwear, Boydton Supermarket, Keefe Commissary and KDC. She also loved cooking, baking, singing, karaoke, and spending time with family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Joseph Hargrove; two daughters, Chasity Richardson and Tiffany Hargrove; two grandchildren, Camarion and Paris; her mother, Willie Mae Richardson; two brothers, Dea. Donald Richardson, Jr. (Kim) of Richmond, VA and Sherman Richardson (Ramona) of Clarksville, VA; two sisters, Vanessa Greene and Joyce Davis both of Boydton, VA; four aunts, Ruth G. Richardson of Boydton, VA, Magdalene Bowens and Rev. Dr. Jo Anne Evans both of Richmond, VA and Eld. Doris E. Allen, Clarksville, VA; two uncles, Eld. Charles D. Allen of Clarksville and Charles Bowens of Richmond, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services with limited seating of 50 for Mrs. Shelia Denise Richardson Hargrove will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Elder Charles D. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Temple UHC Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Mask are required to be worn for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
