Shelia F. Hickson

Mrs. Shelia F. Hickson, 55, of Pamplin, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Mrs. Hickson was born in Washington, DC on May 9, 1966 to the late Hester G. Green and Larmon Brown. At an early age, she joined Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church in Drakes Branch, VA, and was a graduate of Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte County, VA. She later joined Mt. Moriah Upperroom Baptist Church in Farmville, VA. Mrs. Hickson was employed in private home care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Brown and Alphonso Brown, and one sister, Diana Brown-Gaither. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Charles I. Hickson of Pamplin, VA; her children; Andre Mickey (Amber) of Chase City, VA, Shaniqua Mickey of Meherrin, VA, Damian Mickey (Keesha) of Farmville, VA, Shanice Hickson of Buckingham, VA and Tiana Hickson of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren; brothers, Christopher Green, Sr. (Lisa) of Chase City, VA, Timothy Green (Angela) of Boydton, VA, Winfred Brown, John Brown of Temple Hills, MD and Larmon Brown, Jr. of Washington D.C.; sisters, LaTanya Green of Ft. Mitchell, VA, Lorna Green of Washington, D.C., Carolyn Liggon (Stephen) of Upper Marlboro, MD and Juanita Brown of Marietta, GA; her mother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Shelia F. Hickson will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Mt. Mitchell Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Stanley Wesley officiating. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Mask are required to be worn for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
