Shawn Duval Lewis

Mr. Shawn Duval Lewis, 46, of Decatur, GA and formerly of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Mr. Lewis was born in Newark, NJ November 19, 1968 to Mary Ann Jackson and the late Victor Eloyd Lewis, Sr. At an early age, he joined St. John Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA and was a 1986 graduate of Bluestone High School, Skipwith, VA. Mr. Lewis was a 12 year employee of the MARTA Police Department in Atlanta, GA and was an eight year veteran of the United States Army. Cherishing his memories are three children, Adrian Terry of Middleburg, NC, Kaesen Lewis of Stone Mountain , GA and Shykesha Lewis of Walkersville, MD; four step-children, Aston, Tyler, Kasarah and Akira Phillips, all of Stone Mountain, GA; one granddaughter, Kaiyah Henriquez of Walkersville, MD; one step-grandson, Cameron Philips of Stone Mountain, GA; his mother, Mary Ann Jackson of Clarksville, VA; three sisters, Roxanne Austin (Brian) of Manassas, VA, Tawanna Larkin (Flen III) of Newnan, GA and Candace Thorpe (James) of Creedmoor, NC; three brothers, Victor E. Lewis, Jr. (Maryann) of Clarksville, VA, Andre Lewis (Michelle) of Charlotte, NC and Marcus Lewis (Joronda) of  Berea, NC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Shawn Duval Lewis will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Earl Terry, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2 cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
