Samuel B. Cole

Deacon Samuel B. Cole, 83, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, February 25, 2007 at his residence. Deacon Cole was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 5, 1923 to the late Gray and Luvenia Avery Cole. He was a member of Saint John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA where he previously served in the capacities of Chairman of the Deacon Board, member of the Senior and Male Choirs, Sunday school teacher and superintendent of Sunday school. He was a WWII army veteran, and a retiree of Burlington Industries. Cherishing his memories is his wife Inez R. Cole of Clarksville, VA; eight children, Gilbert Baptist, Irvington, NJ, Floyd Baptist of Clarksville, VA, Clyde Baptist of Maplewood, NJ, Stella Cole of Washington, DC, Randy Cole of Clarksville, VA, Christine White of Oxen Hill, MD, Earnestine Gates of Temple Hills, MD, and Belinda Miller of Oxen Hill, MD; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Deacon Samuel B. Cole will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at St. John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Charles Sands, officiating. Burial with military and masonic honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on at the church Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C.H.
