Sally Christine Brummell

Mrs. Sally Christine Brummell, 93, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, NC. Mrs. Brummell was born in Clarksville, VA on February 29, 1928 to the late Jack Lyons and Louise Carter. She attended West End High School in Skipwith, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Clarksville, VA where she served as Church Mother. Mrs. Brummell was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, babysitting, watching Matlock and the Lone Ranger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brummell was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Brummell, and two sons, Martin E. Brummell, Jr. and Samuel M. Brummell, III. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Lawrence R. Brummell (Dorothy) of Clarksville, VA and Tracey D. Brummell of Fayetteville, NC; three daughters, Mamie L. Terry (Randolph) of Clarksville, VA, Christine B. Daniel (Willie) of Nelson, VA and Jacquetta P. Bumpass (Dennis) of Oxford, NC; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Christine Brummell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Dr. Freddie E. Terry, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
