Ruth T. Boyd

Mrs. Ruth Teresa Boyd, 31, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest suddenly, Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Boyd was born in South Hill, VA June 1, 1977 to Jessie Ashe and Shirley Walker. She was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mrs. Boyd was employed by Food Lion of Chase City, VA. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, George L. Boyd of Chase City, VA; three daughters, Destiny and Analeshia Boyd both of Chase City, VA and Lakeisha Darden of Clarksville, VA; her parents, Jessie Ashe and Shirley Walker of Chase City, VA; one sister, Felicia Walker of Chase City, VA; two step-sisters, two step-brothers, grandmothers, Mamie Cheatham and Henrietta Ashe of Chase City, VA; five aunts, two uncles, six great-aunts, five great-uncles, one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a devoted aunt, Odell Penick, devoted friends, Patricia Wood, Shayshonda Walker and Patricia Wood, Olive and Bob Westfall and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth T. Boyd will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. E. Douglas Reams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
