Ruth Keene Scott Pride

Mrs. Ruth Keene Scott Pride, 73, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Scott Pride, affectionately known as "Rudy", was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 31, 1950 to the late Floyd Jesse and Fannie Smith Keene. She was a 1969 graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was previously employed as a caregiver and a bus driver for Charlotte County Public Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frederick Scott; one sister, Margaret White; and two brothers, Jessie and Floyd Keene.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Timothy L. Pride of Chase City, VA; three sons, Mark Scott (Karen) of Halifax, VA, Timothy Scott of Chase City, VA and Rodney Scott of Saxe, VA; nine grandchildren; one great- grandchild; three sisters, Barbara Smithson of Chase City, VA, Brenda Downey (Arthur) of Clarksville, VA and Vanessa Haskins (Keith) of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Services will be private.
