Rubye Mae Davis Bouldin

Mrs. Rubye Mae Davis Bouldin, 84, of Drakes Branch, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Bouldin was born in Charlotte County, VA April 28, 1931 to the late James and Rena Davis.  She received her education in the Charlotte County school system and at an early age joined Tabernacle Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA. There she served as Church Clerk and was a member of the Daughters of Faith Choir.  Mrs. Bouldin was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Baptist Bouldin, one son, Russell Bouldin; four brothers; three sisters and three grandchildren. Cherishing her memories are four daughters, Yvonne Bass (Tony) of Drakes Branch, Diana Hawley of Keysville, Elsie Bouldin of Green Bay and  Marilyn Hayes (Gary) of Chase City; five sons, John Bouldin of Drakes Branch, Larry Bouldin (Patricia) of Meherrin, Samuel Bouldin (Cathy)  and Lorenzo Bouldin (Johnna) all of Richmond and Cedric Bouldin (Stephanie) of Petersburg; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Louise Richardson of Wilmington, DE, Hattie Lambert of Pennsauken, NJ, Dorothy Jackson, Camden, NJ and Joyce Catoe of Key West, FL;  two brothers, Nathaniel Davis (Jessie) of Newark, NJ and William Davis of Wilmington, DE; one uncle, John Davis of Skipwith, VA; 11 sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rubye Mae Davis Bouldin will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Bluestone Harmony Center, 635 Bluestone Rd, Keysville, VA with Rev. Isiah Hurt, officiating.  Burial will follow in Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Public viewing will be held Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.
