Ruby Almeda Boyd

Mrs. Ruby Almeda Boyd, 77, of Victoria, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Halifax County, VA May 10, 1945 to the late Randal B. and Julia Lawrence. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was formerly employed by Jonbil, Inc. Mrs. Boyd enjoyed cooking, sitting on the porch, and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus Boyd, Jr; two brothers, Fred and Willie Lawrence, and six sisters, Mary Burton, Rosa Joyner, Beatrice Lawrence, Frances Lawrence, Ebaniece Lawrence and Shirley Lawrence.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory three sons, Timothy Boyd of Chase City, VA, Thaddeus Boyd (Shawanda) of Chester, VA and Antonio Lawrence (Heather) of Victoria, VA; one daughter, Ruth Smith of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Lawrence of Chase City, VA; sister, Corrine Lawrence of South Hill, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

(UPDATED) A graveside memorial service for Mrs. Ruby A. Boyd will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA.
