Rose Alexander Jones

Ms. Rose Alexander Jones, 58, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. Ms. Jones was born in Boydton, VA on May 9, 1961 to the late Robert E. Lee and Pattie R. Alexander. She attended Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Boydton, VA. Ms. Jones was a former packer for Russell Stover Candies in Clarksville, and sales associate for Walmart in South Hill. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Antonio Moore of Boydton, VA and Maurice Moore (Winona) of South Hill, VA; a daughter, Marquita Moore of Boydton, VA; stepdaughter, Felicia Moore of Boydton, VA; eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Herbert Alexander (Cynthia) of Dundas, VA, Steven Alexander of Boydton, VA and Elder Frank L. Alexander (Rochelle) of Charlottesville, VA; four sisters, Virginia Anna Tucker of Newark, NJ, Ardell McBee (Joe) of Clarksville, VA, and Sarah Alexander and Emma Alexander both of Boydton, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Rose Alexander Jones will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2020 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Frank L. Alexander delivering the eulogy, with Rev. Earl Terry assisting. Burial will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
