Roscoe Stanley Robertson

Mr. Roscoe Stanley Robertson, 54 of Riverdale, MD and formerly of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his residence.   Mr. Robertson was born in Charlotte County, VA June 2, 1954 to the late Remana Davis and Grace Mosley Davis. He was a graduate of Charlotte County Schools. Mr. Robertson was first employed by Burlington Industries of Clarksville, VA and later moved to Maryland where he was employed by National Geographic Society. At an early age he became a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA.  Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife Dianne Jacobs Robertson of Fredericksburg, VA; one son, Leon Dwayne of Landover, MD; three daughters, Ann of Fredericksburg, Sandy and Hope of Red Oak, VA ; one step-daughter, Naima; six grandchildren, one step-granddaughter; his mother, Grace M. Davis of Red Oak, VA; three brother Lynn L. Davis (Mary) of Richmond, VA, Benny L. Davis(Diane) of Red Oak, VA and Keith F. Davis of Riverdale, MD; four sisters, Shirley Robertson of Deltonia, FL, Gloria White (Norman) of Skipwith, VA, Jackie Davis of Red Oak, VA and April Davis of Lilburn, GA; mother-in-law, Ann Lesane; three sisters-in-law, Linda, Ruth and Aisha; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Jacobs; one uncle, Waverly Davis; five aunts, Christine Craighead, Irma Daily, Helen Brandon, Dorothy Pettus and Annie B. Whitehead and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Mr. Roscoe Stanley Robertson will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Kevin Pearson delivering the eulogy and Prophet Harry L. Williams assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 11:00 A.M. until service time.   Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
