Rosa Lee Fields Osborne

Ms. Rosa Lee Fields Osborne, 74, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, January 11, 2018 at VCU Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Ms. Osborne was born in Mecklenburg County, VA September 19, 1943 to the late John Louis and Hattie Elaine Jefferies Fields. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. At an early age she joined Saint Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA. She was previously employed by Craddock- Terry and Jonbil, Inc. In 1960 she married James Frank Osborne, this union was blessed with three children. In addition to her parents, Ms. Osborne was preceded in death by two sisters, and four brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Christine O. Dokes of Buffalo Junction, VA, Joyce O. Townes of Richmond, VA and Tammy O. Gregory (John) of Chase City, VA; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Fields of Clarksville, VA, James Fields (Peggy) of Chase City, VA and Marshall Fields of Boydton, VA; seven sisters, Annie Jenkins of Chase City, VA, Flordell Watts of Red Oak, VA, Elaine Bullock and Elnora Shearin of Clarksville, VA, Dorothy Parrish (Willie) of Boydton, VA, Mary Alice Fields of Bridgeport, CT, and Catherine Fields of South Hill, VA; one aunt, Aurelia Jeffries; special friends, Ronnie Roberts, Sudie Mosley and the Maple Manner Family and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Saint Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends is Monday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
