Rosa Lee Dodson

Mrs. Rosa Lee Dodson, 90, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, October 9, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Dodson was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on February 18, 1927 to the late Jesse J. and Rosa Lee Morton Royster. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Dodson was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husband, Corrie Dodson. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Louise Moody of Clarksville, VA; three grandchildren, Paul Moody and Ella Moody Watson (Franklin) of Clarksville, VA and Cornell Moody (Patricia) of Chesterfield, VA; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; eight nieces, Dr. Laura Royster of Detroit, MI, Ella Parrish and Hazel R. Robertson of Skipwith, VA, Lucille Mitchell of Columbia, SC, Cecelia R. Irby and Joann Royster of Chase City, VA, Deborah Howard of Williamsburg, VA and Theresa R. Stephens of Fredericksburg, VA; five nephews, James Marshall Reynolds of Boydton, VA, Carl Royster of Newark, NJ, Wilson Royster of Irvington, NJ, Allan Townes of New Jersey and John Royster of Chase City, VA; and a vast number of great nieces and nephews, cousins and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Dodson will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA. Burial will follow in the Dodson Family Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
