Rosa L. Baskerville

Mrs. Rosa L. Baskerville, 75, of New Jersey formerly of Columbia, VA, entered eternal rest Wednesday, February 1, in New Jersey. Mrs. Baskerville was born in Columbia, VA September 27, 1930 to the late Cornelius and Dora Langhorn. She was a graduate of S.C. Abrams High School. At an early age Mrs. Baskerville joined the Thessalonia Baptist Church in Fork Union, VA. She moved to Newark, NJ and later to Sicklerville, NJ where she became a faithful member of the Christ Care Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Simon P. Baskerville and her son Simon C. Baskerville. Cherishing her memories are her children Beverly Jeannie Brown, Joseph L. Baskerville, Sandra Tally and Viola Baskerville all of Sicklerville, NJ, Paul Baskerville of Brick, NJ, Nina Jones of Austell, GA and Barry Baskerville of Rahway, NJ; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda Davis of Elizabeth, NJ and Henrietta Langhorn of West Orange, NJ; one son-in law, Charles Jones of Austell, GA; one daughter- in-law, Diane Baskerville of Sicklerville, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Esther Long of Whitesville, NC and Bessie Hester of Boydton, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa L. Baskerville will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Lands Chapel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Julia Fields, officiating.
