Mrs. Rosa Doloris Wood Mosley, 71, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Southside Community Hospital, Farmville, VA. Mrs. Mosley was born in Mecklenburg County, VA November 16, 1939 to the late Theotris and Hattie Freeman Wood. She was a 1957 graduate of West End High School and a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA; where she served as the Church Clerk, President of the Senior Choir, Youth Advisor for the Junior Choir, Sunday School Teacher and Deaconess. She was a retiree of Jones Apparel, South Hill, VA and the backbone of Mosley’s’ Medical Transportation Service. In addition to her parents Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Calvin L. Mosley of Red Oak, VA, four children, Carolyn Boyd Pearson, Victoria Mosley-Wood (Brad) and Bo Mosley (Sharon) all of Red Oak, VA and Natalie Mosley of Richmond, VA;12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four sisters, Lardeva Cameron and Diana Wood of Chase City, VA, Deborah Robertson and Janice Christian (Matthew) both of Richmond, VA; one brother, Larry Wood (Beatrice)  of Newport News, VA; one sister-in-law, Sadie Wood; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Doloris Wood Mosley will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Roger Allen, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mosley may be viewed Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
