Mr. Ronnie Lee Mangum, 58, of Chesterfield, VA entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the residence of his brother. Mr. Mangum was born in Mecklenburg County on November 11, 1955 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Evans Mangum. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County and was a 1974 graduate of Bluestone High School, Skipwith, VA. He was an active member of Jerusalem Temple United Holy Church in Boydton, where he faithfully served as an Usher. He was previously employed at Burlington Industries for over 30 years. In 2010, Mr. Mangum relocated to Chesterfield, where he worked and lived with his brother. Cherishing his memories are three brothers, Robert Wayne Mangum, Jr. (Cheryl) of Chesterfield, VA, Curtis Mangum (Linda) and Tony Mangum, both of Boydton, VA; one sister, Melissa Mangum Marks of Boydton, VA; eight nieces, Patrice Smith, Kimberly Mangum, Candace Mangum, Jasmine Wright, Kelli Mangum, Ivy Marks, Kristin Wilson (Tyrone), and Toni Mangum; five great-nieces; one great-nephew; one great-great nephew; five aunts, Louise Evans, Virginia Evans (Nathaniel) and Eunice Evans all of Boydton, VA, Alice Benjamin of Maryland and Eleanor Mangum of New Jersey; two uncles, Clarence Mangum of Seattle, Washington and Claude Mangum of Vernon Hill, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie Lee Mangum will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Jerusalem Temple United Holy Church, Boydton, VA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M.
