Ronald Glenwood Burton

Mr. Ronald Glenwood Burton, 68, of Newport News, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Burton was born in Newark, NJ on April 14, 1955 to the late David, Sr. and Lena Mae Burton. He was a graduate of Central High School in Lunenburg County, VA, and was a former truck driver. In his spare time, Mr. Burton enjoyed basketball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Annie and Bernard Bragg; two brothers, David Burton, Jr. and Shawn Burton; and one sister, Rhoda Ann Burton.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Alice Lucille Osborne Burton of Newport News, VA; three sons, Michael Boyd of Drakes Branch, VA, Tristan Boyd and Dustin Boyd both of Red Oak, VA; three daughters, Angela Osborne, Lisa Bullock and Kimberly Burton all of Newport News, VA; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Timothy Burton of La Crosse, VA, Andre Burton of Harrah, OK and Jeffrey Oakley of Richmond, VA, eight sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Ronald Glenwood Burton will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.
