Deacon Robert Lee Terry, 85, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Friday, August 24, 2007 at his residence.Deacon Terry was born in Mecklenburg County, VA March 20, 1922 to the late Henderson and Henrietta Terry. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA and was retired from Burlington Industries after 45 years of service. Deacon Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Julia, two sons, Robert and Abraham and one daughter, Dorothy Terry.Cherishing his memory are five daughters, Josephine Jones of Richmond, VA, Juanita Terry of Roanoke, VA, Bernice Terry and Louise Terry both of Fayetteville, NC and Julia Williams of Boydton, VA; two sons, William B. Terry of Bullock, NC and Gary Terry of Warrenton, NC; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Dessio of High Point, NC; two daughters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Deacon Robert Lee Terry will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 Fourth Street, Clarksville, VA.
