Robert Irvin Fowlkes

Mr. Robert Irvin Fowlkes, 69, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Fowlkes was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 19, 1946 to the late Funches W. and Ardell Hepburn Fowlkes. He attended Thyne Institute in Chase City, VA and was a former employee of Clark Construction of Washington, DC. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Patricia A. Fowlkes of Chase City, VA; two sons, Michael and Robert Fowlkes both of Maryland; one daughter, Cynthia Gibson of Maryland; grandchildren, one brother, John Henry Fowlkes of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Linda Harper of Fort Washington, MD, Mabel Scott of Chase City, VA and Lillian Young of Albrightsville, PA; four sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Fowlkes will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 18, 2016 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fowlkes Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Public viewing Thursday,  from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA Services  1:00 P.M.
