Robert Glenn Dillard

Mr. Robert Glenn Dillard, 84, of Drakes Branch, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Dillard was born in Hackensack, NJ on December 5, 1937 to the late James G. Dillard and Elzena Scott Raye. He received his education in the public schools of Hackensack, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Hackensack, NJ. Mr. Dillard was the owner and operator of Dillard Electric, and was a member of Masonic Lodge Mount Zion #50 and Majestic Lodge # 153. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. In his spare time he enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dillard was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Rogers Dillard, and a sister, Joan Scott Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory four daughters, Michele and Jacqueline both of Virginia, Glynise of Delaware and Frances of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Scott Watson of Hackensack, NJ; devoted cousin, Julie Ann Alston, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Glenn Dillard will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church, 214 Berdan Pl, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 12:00 Noon until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Hackensack Cemetery on Monday.
