Robert Darron Johnson

Mr. Robert Darron Johnson, 59, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, July 19, 2018 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Johnson was born in Newark, NJ September 25, 1958 to Phyllis Johnson and the late Robert Johnson. He was a graduate of Irvington Tech in Irvington, NJ, and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. In addition to his father, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Rahim Q. Martin, Sr.; a grandson, Jeremiah Johnson, and his sister, Kelly A. Johnson. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Gina Johnson of Chase City, VA; his children, Kionna M. Martin (Deli) and Jasmine D. White all of Chase City, VA, Dina M. Johnson (Marcel) of La Crosse, VA, and Darron D. Johnson (Venealus) of Nathalie, VA; seven grandchildren; his mother, Phyllis Johnson of New Jersey; his siblings, Dina Johnson of Bloomfield, NJ, Darold Johnson (Bernadette) of North Carolina, Michael Johnson (Melanie) of Virginia Beach, VA and Kendall Johnson (Phyllis) of Plainfield, NJ, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Robert D. Johnson will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Ricky A. Lee, officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ. Public viewing will begin 10:00 AM Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
