Robert C. Jones

Mr. Robert C. Jones, 88, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Jones was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 8, 1920 to the late Willie E. and Bealuh Jones. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and a self employed logger. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife Ruby H. Jones. Cherishing his memories are five children Larry and Roger L. Jones both of Chase City, VA, Rosalee Evans of Kernersville, NC, Walter Henry of New Haven, CT and John Henry of Clover, VA.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Redd and Everlene Jones both of Newark, NJ and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Robert C. Jones will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Dr. James Coleman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
