Richard G. Pulliam

Mr. Richard G. Pulliam, 60, of Sandston, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA.

Mr. Pulliam, affectionately known as "Richy Rich and "PaPa”, was born February 7, 1964 in Baltimore, MD to the late Powahtan Pulliam Jr. and Eleanor B. Pulliam. He graduated from Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA in 1982. He received Christ at an early age as a member of Bluestone Baptist Church and later became a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rehoboth, Va. He was a prominent member of the Bluestone and Calvary Baptist Church Choirs until his health began to fail. Mr. Pulliam was a former employee of Butler, Spaulding, and Morgan Lumber Co. for several years. He loved woodworking and building on things as well as his love for fishing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Powahtan Pulliam. III, Steven R. Pulliam. Sr. and Carlton Pulliam. Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Deneice B. Pulliam of Sandston, VA; daughter, Candice R. Pulliam of Sandston, VA; mother, Eleanor Pulliam Biggers of Chase City, VA; godson, Steven R. Pulliam, Jr. of Winston Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Malik A. Wright, Jordan P. Wright, and Londyn A. Wright all of Sandston, VA; aunt, Joyce Doggett of Chase City, VA; uncle, Robert Tucker of Baltimore, MD; a loving great-great aunt, Mary Ann Pulliam of Baskerville, VA; sister-in-law, Olivia A. Winkler (Steve) of Skipwith, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Richard G. Pulliam will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria VA with Pastor Logan Tatum, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will being on Saturday from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. at the church.
